Nottingham Forest May Part Ways with Morgan Gibbs-White if Relegated

Nottingham Forest could consider selling midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White during the summer transfer window if the club is relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, as reported by Football Insider.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke highlighted Gibbs-White’s impressive performance, noting his 12 Premier League goals this season—the highest among midfielders in the league. O’Rourke stated, "Forest have him on a long-term contract now, they’ll be hoping they can keep hold of him. They don’t want a repeat of last year where they stepped in to stop him going to Tottenham and all the drama that went along with that."

However, relegation could force Forest’s hand. O’Rourke added, "If they are to suffer the fate of relegation, it would seem inevitable that Gibbs-White would move on. There will be interest in him, and he won’t want to play in the Championship next season." The club remains confident of retaining him if they secure Premier League survival, given his long-term contract and their reluctance to sell.
