📅 2026-04-21

Arsenal forward Stina Blackstenius has signed a new two-year contract with the club. The Swedish international, who joined from BK Hacken in 2022, has solidified her future at the Emirates after a standout spell with the Gunners.

Blackstenius etched her name into Arsenal's history last season by scoring the decisive goal in the Champions League final against Barcelona, securing the trophy for her team. This season, she is the club's second-highest scorer in the Women’s Super League with seven goals, despite starting only six matches. Her impressive form includes a goal every 98.7 minutes and three assists in the league.

"I’m really happy to sign this new contract," Blackstenius said. "I’ve been at the club for a long time now, but I’m thrilled to stay longer. I love playing for Arsenal—the club, the team, everything. I’m excited for what’s ahead."

She also praised the club’s supporters, stating, "They always show up, no matter what. It’s hard to describe how much their support means to us. They’re always loud, always behind us, and that’s been crucial in so many games. We’re lucky to have them."

Since joining Arsenal, Blackstenius has scored 64 goals in 152 appearances, including the winner in the 2024 League Cup final against Chelsea. She has won four major trophies with the club—two League Cups, the Champions League, and the 2026 Champions Cup—remaining unbeaten in every final she has played. Additionally, she finished as Arsenal’s top scorer in both the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.
